USC’s President leads a protest against the Trump decision and denounce terrorism

 

    Faculty of Education for Early Childhood organized a protest against US recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, as well as denounce the terrorist attacks that happened in Egypt.
 

The University President Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Vice President for Community Services and Environmental Development Prof. Dr. Hamdy Emara, Faculty Deans, Ministry of Interior Representatives in Sadat City, Egyptian Family House Representatives and University Students attended the protest. While USC’s students waving Palestinian flags, and chant slogans against this decision.
 

Bayoumi said; the University of Sadat City denounces the US recognition and refuse to use it as an embassy of US in Israel, noting that this decision is contrary to international political life and insulting the resolutions of international legitimacy. Adding that, what US did will not change the truth, and will not change the religious, historical and legal status of the Holy City of Jerusalem, and stressing that Jerusalem is under Israeli occupation and that no action should be taken to change the status quo in the holy city.
 

Professor Hamdy Emara, vice president of the university, said in his speech that the American decision will open up many negative effects, threaten international peace, obstruct peace efforts in the Middle East and open a new door to conflict that would seriously harm all parties, assuring that, the University of Sadat City call the international community to refuse this decree and to do its duty to reject the resolution and make no effort to restore the Palestinian right and to pressure Israel to reach a final and fair settlement of the Palestinian issue, explaining that the University of Sadat City as a scientific and cultural institution and platform for peace - stands one hand in front of the American decision.
