USC participates in the first African Health Summit

On the 29th of Jan 2018, the University of Sadat City participated in the activities of inaugurating the first African Health Summit at Cairo International Convention Centre, USC’s delegation represented by Prof. Dr. Hamdy Emara – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hany Yousef – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Shaden Muawia – Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Student and Research Affairs, as well as deans of the University.
 

The summit held under the patronage of Egyiptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi and organized by Tanta University headed by Prof. Dr. Magdy Saba, which aims to strengthen relations between African countries in the health field.


Moreover, the Summit witnessed a great interest by the attendance of General Major. Mohamed El-Assar – Minister of Military Production, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy – Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Adel El-Adawy – Former Minister of Health and population.


In other hand, the University of Sadat City is keen on participating in such events based on its interest in cooperation in the field of health care and the implementation of joint-plans and programs in education, research, treatment and pharmaceutical manufacturing.


This was confirmed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Bayoumi – President of the University, under the directives and instructions of the Egyptian President in moving towards Africa. Since the Arab Republic of Egypt is the Leader of the African Union, the University pays its attention to the scientific missions of faculty members and is interested in achieving academic and practical communication among specialists in all African countries.
