USC receives Bahir Dar University

Within the framework of cooperation between Egypt and Ethiopia in the field of higher Education, the University of Sadat City President Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi received today Prof. Dr. Besio Kerso – Vice President of the University of Bahir Dar for Postgraduate Studies – and Prof. Dr. Issay Keyd – Vice President of the University of Bahir Dar for Academic Affairs in Ethiopia, while the cooperation included academic researchers in all fields, in attendance of USC’s Vice President for Postgraduate studies and research affairs Prof. Dr. Shaden Muawia, USC’s Vice President for Community Services, Environmental Development Prof. Dr. Hany Yousef Hassan and USC’s Deans.
 

Dr. Bayoumi assured that; the meeting is included discussing scientific cooperation between the two parties with the aim of establishing academic cooperation in all fields and in all scientific degrees in the bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels, in addition to exchanging academic experiences and exchange of professors and students between the two universities. While, the meeting reviewed the most important areas of cooperation between the parties, where the AnchorEthiopian side expressed his interest in the scientific disciplines in the field of biotechnology, in addition to the possibility of cooperation in a number of fields and other distinguished scientific specialties that available at the University of Sadat City.

During the meeting, the Ethiopian delegation previewed a detailed presentation of their university, the two sides agreed on the need to identify the special departments and specializations existing in the University of Sadat City in order to support the students of the university with a number of scholarships in all stages of the academic study and different fields, in addition, the Ethiopian delegation held an orientation visit to the faculties and identify the possibilities and scientific disciplines and departments and visit laboratories and hold meetings with the members of the faculty and students to identify the university, faculties, specializations and different possibilities.
 

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bayoumi stressed on the depth of Egyptian-African relations and the political leadership's interest in providing all scientific and research support to the African brothers, while, the visit is the first African visit after Egypt took over the presidency of the African Union.
