Ending of the 9th Scientific Conference for Faculty of Veterinary Medicine activity

The 9th Scientific Conference for Faculty of Veterinary Medicine entitled “Toward Improvement of Veterinary Medical Services to Combat Future Challenges” has just finished today, that lasted for 4 days during the period of 04-07 Apr 2017 and held at Aida Beach Hotel - the North Coast of Egypt.

The Conference was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi - President of the University of Sadat City and Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Prof. Dr. Rifai Ibrahim Rifai, as well as Prof. Dr. Shaaban Gadallah – Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Chief of the Conference. And attended by

While the conference attended by Eng. Mohamed Ashour Abd El-Rahman - President of Sadat City Authority and Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Emary – Chief of Veterinarians, as well as, scientists from several faculties and Institutes.

 

While Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi announced about the final recommendations of the conference as below;

 

  • Setting an epidemiological map of special infectious diseases such as avian influenza and foot-and-mouth disease and activate measures to prevent the spread of these diseases.
  • Poultry and animal production farms should be subject to veterinary supervision.
  • Implementation of the biosafety system in all animal and poultry farms.
  • Development of the veterinary quarry system and the activation of the quarantine procedures for dealing with animals and their products and veterinary preparations.
  • The need for locally and internationally accredited reference laboratories to expedite customs clearance procedures.
  •  
  • The need to expand the production of feedstocks from maize, soybeans and the production of non-traditional feeds.
  • Expansion of the production of vaccinations from domestic and pathogenic strains in animal exporting countries to Egypt.
  • Genetic improvement of pure native breeds of poultry and buffalo.
  • Provision of diagnostic devices with modern technologies in the laboratories of the directorates of veterinary medicine in the governorates.
  • Accelerate the activation of the system of food safety with the activation of the role of veterinary medicine in food of animal origin.
