IISMC launches artificial intelligence and its various usages workshop

Under patronage of Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi – USC’s President, on Wednesday the 23^rd of December 2020, USC’s Innovation and Invention Support Marketing Center (IISMC) has organized a scientific visit and workshop at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) – University of Sadat City entitled “Artificial Intelligence and its various usages”.

The workshop has prepared for innovative school students who are entrepreneurs and scientific innovations related to robotics, electronics, and remote sensing devices.

On the other side, FCAI has invested specialists’ engineers headed by Dr. Magda Refaat – FCAI Dean to help and support young inventors at schools, as well as to provide their scientific advice to complete students’ inventions and turned it into a tangible reality as a full-fledged prototype, and to complete the procedures and requirements for applying for patent registration.

FCAI has gathered students who are scientifically distinguished and interested in the field of electronics from secondary industrial technical education, and students at schools in the educational administration in Sadat City, so as to develop their skills and train them through specialized workshops.

The Workshop was attended by Eng. Naglaa Elbanna – School’s Principal, innovation officials and coordinators at Sadat City educational administration and industrial technical education, while FCAI innovation coordinators took them in an orientation tour to identify the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, as well as to identify the University Center for Innovation and Invention Support Marketing.

At the main meeting room, Dr. Magda Refaat – Dean of the Faculty has welcomed the attendance and delivered her speech, then IISMC Director delivered her speech and expressed her appreciation for the effective role of FCAI Administration headed by Dr. Magda for this cooperation with the center to organize the workshop in association with Sadat Educational Administration, and Mubarak Cool Technical School.

After welcome speech, a documentary film has been displayed to identify IISMC, its’ goals and activities at the University, Educational Administration, and surrounding area in Sadat City. Then the attendance has their breakfast-time and took a group picture.

The workshop has lectured by Dr. Engy Elshafey – Lecturer at FCAI, she explained the fields of Artificial Intelligence and its usage, after that Eng. Ahmed Lameay – ASST Lecture at FCAI continued the identification of AI and its usages. Then, inventor students started to preview their projects ideas and what has been achieved and the remaining part that needed technical support.

It was agreed upon that to create a communication group between students and FCAI specialists’ professors to help them in continuing their projects and provide them with technical and scientific support.
