President of the University of Sadat City participates in Fulbright Egypt's celebration of International Women's Day

Dr. Shaden Muawiya, president of the University of  Sadat City, participated in the celebration organized by the Commission Egypt in celebration of International Women's Day, under the title "Seventy-Five Years of Influential Women Leaders in the World" on Monday, 24^th February, at Sofitel Cairo downtown Nile Hotel, in the presence of Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, and Ambassador Herrero Mustafa Garg, ambassador of the United States of America in Cairo and honorary chairman of the bilateral Fulbright committee in Egypt, Maggie Nassif, executive chairman of the Fulbright Commission Egypt, several leaders of the Fulbright Commission and women leaders from heads and professors of universities and representatives of ministries and various bodies, and many women leaders in the governmental, academic, public and private sectors and graduates of the Fulbright Commission. In a dialogue session entitled "Shaping Minds" between Dr. Shaden Muawiya, president of the University, the guest of honor of the conference, and Dr. Maggie Nassif, executive director of the Fulbright Commission, about the advice that Dr. Shaden Muawiya can give as a university president to the women of the university community in the prime of life "Muawiya" replied that the women of the university community should pay attention to the social and academic scientific roles and not neglect either of them, as the success of a leadership woman depends on the balance between the two roles and that she can perform both roles according to the nature of the distinguished woman and her ability to carry out all the tasks assigned to her efficiently and distinctively. In a related context, Dr. Shaden Muawiya, president of the University Sadat City, thanks the Fulbright Egypt hosting authority for its efforts and permanent and fruitful cooperation with the University, and congratulates all attendees on this occasion, which comes to emphasize the prominent and pivotal role of Women, Her Excellency also pointed out the importance of believing in the role of women in the advancement of society and the consolidation of values, and that this confirms the belief of the state under the leadership of his Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the leading role of Egyptian women in the advancement of the entire society and the launch of the national strategy for the empowerment of Egyptian women 2030, and that Egypt is a leading country in the world that launches this strategy in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. It is worth mentioning that the Fulbright Commission is an Egyptian American body established based on a cooperation agreement between the Egyptian and American governments in 1949 for seventy-five years. The commission has devoted its efforts to bringing the two countries closer through educational and cultural exchange.
