The President of the University of Sadat City Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Prof. Dr. Hamdy Emara and the Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Prof. Dr. Amal Abd El-Aziz signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Cure Bank.
While Dr. Moez Abd El-Megied El-Shohdy – Vice Chairman of the ECB Board of Trustees represented the Egyptian Cure Bank during the signing, in attendance of Prof. Dr. Shaden Muawia – Vice Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs.
Both sides are mainly agreed on combatting hepatitis C virus inside the University and the surrounding areas, as it was agreed that the ECB will provide the treatment and bear the costs of the necessary analysis for three months (treatment period) and also, carrying out PCR analysis three months after the 3rd dose.
The targeted cases will be included; students of the University, employees as well as cases discovered by the medical convoys held by the University medical team.
