The opening of the University of Sadat City’s seventh Book Fair for 2024

Dr. Shaden Muawiya, president of the University of Sadat City, opened the seventh Book Fair, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Jafar, vice president of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Ahmed Azab, dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and head of the exhibition, which is organized by the Faculty of Physical Education and the Central Library of the University during the period from 1^st to 8^th of December. The opening was also witnessed by the presence of deans and vice-deans of colleges and institutes at the University, several faculty members, researchers and students of the university, representatives of publishing houses participating in the exhibition, and the supervision of Professor Mona Abdul Jalil, director of the library department, Ms. Nasreen Al-Khayat, director of the Central Library Department, and Mr. said Turki, director of the library of the Faculty of physical education. Dr. Shaden Muawiya inspected the publishing houses participating in the exhibition and praised the participants' effort, adding that the book exhibition is one of the most important ways to improve scientific research, contributing to raising the University's ranking. The president of the university also praised the good organization of the Faculty of Physical Education and the Central Library of the university, expressing her great happiness with the opening of the exhibition, because she appreciates the value of culture and that the students should be educated and have culture. She stated that organizing such exhibitions directs university students to read and culture in all scientific, economic, and social fields. She added that what she saw at the exhibition, from the originals of the books and ancient cultural heritage to modern, is great work. As the organizing committee explained, twelve publishing houses participated in the exhibition, including " Al-Ahram Agency for distribution, Dar Akhbar Al-Youm, Dar Bariq Academic House, smart book shop, Osiris House for Publishing and Distribution, the Writers Center, the House of Unlimited Knowledge, Emek publishing house, the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, Dar Al-Nahar, and the Egyptian General Authority For the book. She also explained that the exhibition was very popular in its first days and many school students visited Sadat City(the tenth experimental language school and Fatima Zahra language school)and there are discounts on the prices of books ranging from 15 to 20%, pointing out that the university allocates buses to transport school and college students to and from the exhibition, and all attendees well received the exhibition because of its diversity in various scientific and cultural fields.
