Astronomical Research Institute announces the launch of the initiative "pioneers of the future vision” under the auspices of the minister of Higher Education and Scientific research:
* the initiative aims to support and market for the scientific ideas and innovations for students and researchers.
Within the framework of the directives of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the support of creative and innovative students and researchers, the National Institute of astronomical and Geophysical Research, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the auspices of Tafra foundation for professional development and Training, announced the launch of the "pioneers of future vision" (FVP) Initiative. Applying is available from (December 24, 2024 until January 24, 2025).
Dr. Taha Tawfik Rabeh, acting president of the Institute, explained that the initiative aims to guide students from secondary and university education, researchers and graduates (from 16 to 25 years), and help them to develop their ideas, scientific innovations and research within the framework of service and investment projects, in addition to supporting action ideas to create incubators to care for creators and thinkers, explaining that the initiative comes in integration with the vision and strategy of Egypt 2030, and in support of scientific research and the creation of a creative environment that allows the development and investment of scientific ideas and research projects for young people in science.
Dr. Rabah explained that the initiative is divided into several stages, where those wishing to apply are registered on the prepared website, and then pass the qualifying exam form, which includes questions in general information, English, Information Technology, and Basic Sciences, and requires passing it at a rate of 60%.
Applicants will then enroll in the first qualifying program during the period (from January 25 to February 6, 2025), which includes studying a number of lectures via the electronic platform on basic skills, scientific research methodologies, types and stages of thinking, presentation skills, presentation, investment and time and crisis management, and the recipients of 75% of this qualifying program are transferred to the second stage, which is: "Advanced specialized program", which includes, in addition to specialized study in scientific thinking and scientific research methods, several specialized curricula in one of the following fields: (Energy, Agricultural Fields, Engineering Applications, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Laser and Nanotechnology applications, Natural Resources and Earth Sciences, Astronomy and Space Sciences, Human Health, Food and Medicine).
The last stage (apply your idea/ achieve your dream) is concerned with developing ideas, research and projects for the participants, by presenting the projects in their initial form, evaluating the winning projects and research selected by specialized professors.
The initiative helps to the projects that will be selected to participate at local and international exhibitions, marketing the outputs of the initiative from research and projects, in addition to providing a number of benefits to the winners, including granting a certificate approved by the ministry at the end of each stage of the program, providing specialized scholarships for the high achievers from some universities, participation in supporting innovators, and participating in prominent international exhibitions, including the Cairo International Innovation Fair, the Geneva International Exhibition, and Dubai Expo.
It should be noted that in some universities the study is carried out in person.
