
Under the patronage of the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Shaden Muawiya, president of the University of Sadat City, participated today, Monday, 17 February, in the celebration of the announcement of the national policy for sustainable innovation from the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, the launch of the competitive call for the Presidential Initiative "alliance and development" marking the start of the implementation of the national policy, in the presence Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, announced the launch of the "national policy for sustainable innovation" as a strategic framework aimed at transforming Egypt To an innovative and sustainable knowledge society, within the framework of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research. The general policy framework seeks to achieve several strategic directions, including developing the higher education system, developing research human resources, creating a national business environment to stimulate innovation, enhancing the contribution of innovation to development, and integrating scientific research, industry, and investment. It should be noted that the "Alliance and Development" initiative is presented by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to maximize the role of innovation and scientific research outputs as an active factor within the framework of the ministry's national strategy to implement the work program of the Egyptian government, the vision of Egypt 2030, and based on the formation of alliances to stimulate creativity and entrepreneurship each alliance carries out its activities within a certain geographical range, which maximizes the benefit and multiplies the impact, becoming an engine of economic development, a cradle for creative ideas and successful companies, and a pioneer in creating job opportunities, to maximize the use of available resources, and to exchange accumulated experience, which has a great impact in building wealth and promoting equality and social justice. Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed that enhancing the role of innovation comes at the top of the priorities of the current stage, in line with the state's interest in maximizing the role of universities in the development of the economy, providing a stimulating climate for knowledge production, enhancing scientific research, increasing cooperation between universities, and the industrial and business community; which contributes to supporting the country's competitiveness regionally and globally, and benefiting from scientific research, and He explained that the world today is divided between knowledge users, and we seek with this new policy to produce and export knowledge, and to become a Regional Center for innovation and creativity as an investment for the human capabilities that Egypt possesses from creators and innovators. Dr. Shaden Muawiya pointed out the importance of the initiative according to its four axes (talent availability, technology transfer, financing, and improving the work environment) and linking it to the work plans being implemented to follow up the activation of the Seven Principles of the strategy, namely; (integration, interdisciplinary, communication, effective participation, sustainability, international reference, entrepreneurship and innovation), which targets Making Egypt among the top 50 countries in the Global Innovation Index by 2030, transforming Egypt into an innovative and sustainable knowledge society and enhancing the country's competitiveness regionally and globally.
