    The process of mechanization at Egyptian Universities’ libraries is one of the key pillars to develop the possibilities of libraries, so, the D-Library Units aim to mechanize the workflow at Egyptian Universities’ libraries. Mechanization of Universities’ library project also aims to provide a bibliographic database and the library catalogue (indexing), as well as an Internet-based geographical information system that allows the interactive production, because of the importance of indexing as the main backbone of all work procedures inside libraries.

Therefore, this project aims to build a cooperative program between libraries and helps to rationalize expenditures and achieve maximum efficiency in uses of the available information resources in Egyptian university libraries
