The USC’s council approved to integrate the Department of Organic Chemistry and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry to the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy

The USC’s council in its meeting held on Sunday 26 March 2017, headed by Prof. Dr. / Ahmed Bayoumi – the University President - approved on the recommendation of the Council of Education and Students Affairs to integrate the Department of Organic Chemistry and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry to the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

This integration achieves a link between the objectives of the educational process because the research is very similar in these sections, as is the case in some of the pharmacy faculties such as the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University; Ain Shams University have the following sections:

Department of Pharmacology; Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology; Department of Microbiology and Immunology; Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Department of Analytical Chemistry; Department of Biochemistry, Department of Clinical Pharmacy.

The Council recommended that matter to be submitted to the Supreme Council of Universities.
